NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A Tennessee state trooper who accidentally sent an e-mail proclaiming white pride to 787 state employees has been suspended for 15 days without pay and will have to attend diversity training.

The e-mail from Trooper Brent Gobbell states, in part, "You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member ... you call him a racist." It also includes a list of racist epithets.

The state Department of Safety says Gobbell sent the e-mail to himself so he could print a copy. He did not realize he had also sent it to hundreds of state employees.

An investigation revealed that Gobbell later deleted his responses to the original e-mail and attempted to delete the original too. Gobbell has apologized.

Central Illinois Man Facing Child Porn Sentence

(Lincoln) -- A Lincoln man will spend nearly 16 years in federal prison on child pornography charges.
Forty-one-year-old Ronald Barnes was sentenced this week in federal court to 15 years and nine months after entering a guilty plea on charges of possessing and receiving child porn.
Barnes was arrested in January after an investigation by agents with the Illinois Attorney General's Office and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Law enforcement officials identified Barnes' Internet address after he offered to participate in the distribution of child pornography via a peer-to-peer network in November of last year.
A subsequent search of Barnes' Lincoln residence turned up incriminating files stored on his computer, and child pornography DVDs.
The case was prosecuted as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide federal initiative.

The incident starts when police stopped a car and were trying to put the suspect in handcuffs.
But the suspect managed to get back in his car and sped away.
His car smashes into a squad car but the driver doesn't stop.
Dash cam shows the pursuit continuing into Kansas City, Kan., before ending in a crash.
No one was hurt during the chase or crash.
